Battery storage FAQ
Can I get the federal battery discount?
Eligible solar-connected batteries can receive a discount through the Australian Government's Cheaper Home Batteries Program. The amount depends on usable capacity, product approval and the installation date. We check the current rules before we quote and show the discount on your quote. Read the official programme information.
Will a battery power my whole home in an outage?
Not automatically. Backup depends on charge, active loads, system configuration, switchboard layout and site conditions.
Can you add a battery to existing solar?
Often. The practical path depends on the inverter, switchboard, available space, product compatibility and your goals.
Is a battery financially worthwhile?
It depends on solar, evening use, tariff, future loads and product cost. We show the assumptions and say when the fit is weak.
